This spring I learned that river otters had been spotted in our creek here in Wildcat Canyon. These creatures used to frequent this area but it had been quite a few years since any had been spotted and I assumed they were long gone. I was so thrilled to hear that they were playing in my neighborhood and I knew immediately I had to make an otter piece to celebrate. This otter is hand cut from sterling silver sheet and swims beneath a purplish moss agate that, to me, feels like the waters of a quiet creek. Supporting the otter are 3 bronze beads. The sterling ball chain is 18 inches and the pendant measures 2 x 2 1/4 inches.
